Sudden racing heart? Sense of doom looming over you for no reason?

BCI
Facing Panic with the right mindset

One of the most common things people struggle with lately, especially after the pandemic is Panic Attacks. Granted this population is overly represented in the clients that come and see me at the clinic. But none the less, here are a few mental shifts and habits you can practice to overcome the dreadful sensations of Panic attacks. Come let's step into confidence and thrive!

Discover the power within you. There is no running away from these sensations and the more you do the more intense they become. We're going to use the CBT approach, embrace them panic symptoms and challenge the exaggerated thoughts that only make them worst. Try this:

  1. Racing Heartbeat? Feel the excitement and energy within you.

  2. Shortness of Breath? Take a deep breath and savor the moment.

  3. Sweating? Your body is actively helping you stay cool and collected.

  4. Trembling? A gentle reminder of your aliveness and capability.

  5. Feeling Light-headed? An opportunity to ground yourself and stay present.

  6. Tingling Sensations? Notice the aliveness in your body.

  7. Chills or Hot Flashes?Your body’s natural response to maintain balance.

  8. Chest Comfort?Your heart reminding you of its strength.

  9. Nausea? A cue to slow down and nurture yourself.

  10. Feeling Detached? A chance to reconnect with your true self.

Remember, each of these sensations is a signal from your body that you are powerful and resilient. Your body is your home. Nothing it does is not aligned with keeping you safe and secure, it's just the intellect can need some information sometimes. Try these and if you need extra help, we are here for you.
